Cherubino Wines are making waves in the Australian wine scene, with director of winemaking, Larry Cherubino, at the helm.
Larry鈥檚 interest in wine began at a young age when, growing up, his aunts and uncles would press their own grapes on their farms. This passion was cemented during his horticulture degree, where he spent a vintage working with a winery. In 1994, he met his wife, Edwina, whose ancestors had settled in Frankland River in the mid-1800s and planted the first vines on the riverbanks in 1875.
Larry worked as a winemaker and consultant across Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Italy, and South Africa, and in 2004, he and Edwina purchased their first parcel of land with hopes of starting their own vineyard. Since then, the range has expanded, and Larry has earnt his reputation as one of Australia鈥檚 most innovative and talented winemakers. His background in agriculture means his focus is fixed on soil and terroir, employing low-intervention techniques in his winemaking.
